Payment Reminder Device

Our payment reminder device not only helps you get a car, it also helps to remind you when your repayments are due – so you can stay on track with your loan.

The device is there purely to help you keep your repayments up to date, it doesn’t affect your car and nor does it monitor the way you drive. Once a month, when your payment has been received, you get a code from us via email and text which you enter into the unit and this allows your car to keep running.

Take a look at the video below which shows you how to enter a code. Please note that device codes must be entered within 48 hours otherwise you will need to request a new code.

Payment Device Instructions: Pay Code

Make sure the ignition is turned on or the car is running.

Remove all plastic from the remote (if it is a new device).

Aim your remote towards the dashboard and press “Clear” and then “Pay”.

Enter the code (you should hear a beep for every button you press).

Listen out for the confirmation sound which is a series of positive beeps. If you hear no sound or a “family fortunes wrong answer” beep please press “Clear” and “Pay” again and enter the code once more.

If you are unsure if the code has been entered correctly then you can press “Clear” and then the “Time” button. Each beep you hear will represent a day of use of the car.

Please note it is your responsibility to check and replace the battery of the device. Failure to do so may result in the device not being able to accept a payment code we have sent you. If the red light on the end of the remote is flickering, or is not lit when you hold down a button, the battery will need replacing. Device is fitted with CR2025 batteries. If you have any problems please give us a call on 01925 696 380 or email us at cs@gccservicing.co.uk and we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.

Payment Device Instructions: Reset Code

Make sure the ignition is turned on or the car is running.

Remove all plastic from the remote (if it is a new device).

Aim your remote towards the dashboard and press “Clear” only.

Enter the code (you should hear a beep for every button you press).

Listen out for the confirmation sound which is a series of positive beeps. If you hear no sound or a “family fortunes wrong answer” beep please press clear and enter the code again.

Once the reset code has been accepted please follow the steps for entering a “Pay” code. This will ensure the car does not immobilise until your next payment is due.

Please note you will only receive a reset code if the battery has been disconnected or if you have had work done to the car at a garage.
